I think many people believe that when they develop networking security skills that nothing could possibly go unseen and every intruder will be picked up or at least noticed somehow. Not to sound pessimistic but there are some great programmers in the world and if they can break through the bank security, the common citizen of the web is basically a small fry. The good thing about developing network security skills is that you have a step up keeping your technology and information safe.

Yeah, it reminds me of when I took the CS180 programming class last semester! There are people out there who are naturally talented in writing codes & programs, and who know how to break into some of the most "secure" databases in the world! While I can admire the complexity of "hacking" I would never want it to happen to me.
